Bilbao Mountain Marathon will take place on July 2nd, 2022.

The event has several starts as it has different routes and distances:
o 42k: 9:00h
o 21k: 9:30h
o 13k: 10:30h
- PLACE OF THE EVENT:
Bilbao Mountain Marathon will start and finish in Plaza de Rekalde.

Bilbao Mountain Marathon will consist of three races:
o Mountain race of 42 Km and a difference in altitude + of 2181m approx.
o Mountain race of 21 Km and a difference in altitude + of 991m approx.
o Mountain race of 13 Km and a difference in altitude + of 710m approx.
o It will be compulsory to follow the routes or tracks marked by the organization.
o Compulsory checkpoints will be established for the athletes, and they may be disqualified if they do not follow them.
o Registration will be done through the website www.sportmaniacs.com.

o Registration is limited to 500 athletes
o There will be no on-site registration on the day of the race.
o On-line until 30 June 2022 at 22:00. A commemorative gift will be given with the registration.
o On-site registration 1 July 2022 from 18:00 until 20:00, in Decathlon Barakaldo. A commemorative gift will be given with the registration.
o The race will be held on 2 July 2022 in Bilbao. All those who wish to participate, regardless of age or sex, federated or not, and who have registered for the race and are wearing their race bib at the start, may do so.

- COLLECTION OF RACE BIBS:
o The collection of race bibs and runner’s bag will take place at the same day and place as the start, in Plaza de Rekalde, from 7:30.
o Each athlete will be given a bib.
o It must be worn throughout the entire course.
o It must be placed on the front of the race bib and must be clearly visible, without being folded or cut.
o Failure to comply with this article may be grounds for disqualification.
o The decision to withdraw must be communicated at one of the established controls, handing over the race bib for the organization’s knowledge.
- DEPARTURE TIMES:
o 09:00h Trail 42k.
o 09:30h Trail 21k.
o 10:30h Trail 13k.
The start will take place on the esplanade of the Plaza de Rekalde, with the finish line at the same place.
- REFRESHMENT POSTS:
o There will be a final refreshment point and many other points distributed along the different routes.
o There will be points where waste (gels, bottles, bar wrappers, etc.) can be deposited, so athletes are asked, if they do not use them, not to leave their waste in the mountains and to carry them with them to the finish line so that they can enjoy our clean mountains.
o Absolute Female
o Absolute Men
o Local Women: Women registered in Bilbao.
o Local Men’s: Men registered in Bilbao.
o Teams: the first 4 of each team or club will score points.
o Participants in the Bilbao Mountain Marathon will receive a commemorative gift of the race.
o The 42k runners who finish the race will receive a finisher’s badge.
o The classifications will be available on the website www.bilbaomm.com.
- HEALTH SERVICES:
o The medical and ambulance services will be located at the start and finish area and in a strategic area of the route to attend to any mishap in the best possible way. They will remain there for the duration of the race and their presence may be required for as long as the organization deems necessary after the race.
o The organizers reserve the right to modify any aspect of the race if necessary. In such a case, the athletes will be informed of the appropriate modifications.
o For their own safety, it is recommended that all athletes who are going to take part in any of the races have a medical check-up to verify that they are fit for the sport.
o The organization will have a civil responsibility insurance and the athletes will have accident insurance.
o The organization is not responsible for any damage that the athletes may cause by their participation nor for any damage caused to other athletes or spectators.
o The organization is not liable for any claims or demands resulting from damages that may occur to the participants as well as to the materials in case of loss, deterioration or misplacement. Participants registered for the race understand that they participate voluntarily and under their own responsibility in the competition. Consequently, they exonerate, renounce, exempt and agree not to denounce the organizing entity, collaborators, sponsors and other participants, from any civil liability towards the runners and their heirs.
o IF THE EVENT HAS TO BE SUSPENDED ON THE DAY OF THE RACE FOR ANY CAUSE OTHER THAN THE ORGANISATION (weather conditions or due to the imposition of a competent authority, etc.), there will be no right to a refund of the registration fee.
o If the race has to be cancelled in the last week due to a health alarm, athletes will be given the option of keeping their registration for the next edition or 70% of the registration fee will be refunded, leaving 30% to cover management and organization costs.
o If the race has to be cancelled more than a week in advance due to a health scare, athletes will be given the option to keep their registration for the next edition or to pay the full amount of the registration fee.
o The organization may withdraw any participant if it believes that he/she endangers his/her health or that of the rest of the people attending the event.
o All athletes taking part in the Bilbao Mountain Marathon are obliged to provide assistance to those athletes who need it, and may be disqualified if they do not do so.
o They are obliged not to damage or dirty the environment.
o They will dispose of their waste in the places provided for this purpose, such as refreshment posts or checkpoints, and it will be grounds for disqualification if they deposit it in places not provided for this purpose.
o Only vehicles authorized by the organizers will be allowed to access or follow the race route, and these will be marked with a badge.
o Athletes must wear their race bib, which will be given to them by the organization, on the front of the bib, clearly visible throughout the race and until they have passed the final refreshment point.
o All participants, registered in the race, know and accept the rules of this event and recognize that they are fit for sport and in good physical condition. He/she confirms that he/she does not suffer from any illness that could pose a risk to him/herself or to the other athletes and staff of the organization and accepts responsibility for any damage that may be caused.
- RESPONSIBILITY AND PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING:
o In compliance with the provisions of Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the Protection of Personal Data, we inform you that the personal data you provide by filling in the registration form will become part of a file under the responsibility of Onergy events (hereinafter the “organization”). This file will be used for the organization of the sporting event, registration of participants, management of the delivery of race bibs, management of insurance for runners, publication of the marks made in the media, publication of photographs and images of participants in the media, invoicing and, in general, those purposes related to the management and organization of a sporting event.
o Your contact details will be kept indefinitely and may be transferred to the sponsors of the event for the sending of information related to sporting events organized by the organization or by third parties, as well as the products or services offered by the organizers or sponsors of the sporting event. These mailings may be sent through both ordinary and electronic channels, without prejudice to the right to cancel personal data whenever deemed appropriate.
o By registering, the athlete (or his/her legal representative in the case of minors) accepts that the race organizers may use, publish, broadcast, include on websites and social networks authorized by the organizers, any photograph, slide, video or any other type of audiovisual support during his/her participation in this event.
o The photographs may be viewed on the website www.bilbaomm.com.
- ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES:
o All participants, by the fact of participating and having paid the registration fee, undertake to comply with these regulations.
o Failure to comply with any of the points in these regulations may be grounds for disqualification from the event.
